‘Kate is charming to have as an opponent but is always thoroughly prepared and completely on top of the case. She is a really persuasive advocate who juries warm to. Her cross-examination of defendants is usually devastating because she is well prepared and extremely sharp.’ The Legal 500 2025
Kate is instructed for both the prosecution and defence and has a broad and varied leading practice. She is frequently instructed in cases of murder and attempted murder included multi-handed, gang related prosecutions. She is also experienced in “baby shaking” cases and is well able to handle complicated medical evidence and all areas of pathology. She regularly appears in cases of conspiracy to import/ supply drugs, death by dangerous driving, kidnap, blackmail, firearms, fraud (and related confiscation) and human trafficking.

Recent and current instructions include: a five-handed murder trial involving youths; a high profile sensitive case involving a police officer accused of rape; a couple accused of “baby shaking”; the murder of an elderly male in his own home; and a man accused of rape and related malicious communications.
