Alice Hewett

Alice has a busy and varied Crown Court practice, regularly instructed in cases beyond her call. She is currently instructed in cases of serious violence, fraud and drug supply.
She is a diligent and likeable advocate and impresses both lay and professional clients.
Alice accepts instructions across Chambers’ areas of expertise. Alice has been led in a multi-handed conspiracy to steal and has prosecuted the sentence of a large-scale drug supply operation in the Central Criminal Court.
She also accepts instructions from the Metropolitan Police Service and the Government Legal Department, advising on matters of counter-terror and national security.
Alice has experience in inquests and inquiries. While a Paralegal at the Metropolitan Police Service, she assisted with the East London Inquests, the Angiolini Inquiry and the Baroness Casey Review. She also assisted Kings Counsel in high-profile Judicial Review proceedings.
Alice also accepts instructions in the Magistrates’ Court, and has experience in obtaining civil orders, as well as conducting forfeiture and confiscation proceedings.
